Udaipur, March 26, 2025 - Vietnam has emerged as the fastest-growing tourism destination in Southeast Asia, attracting 17.5 million international visitors in 2024. The country has now become the third-most-visited in the region, surpassing Singapore.

Thailand remains at the top with 35 million visitors, followed by Malaysia with 25 million. Vietnam’s strong tourism recovery is driven by new visa policies, flight connections, and luxury hotel openings. Over 500,000 Indian travelers arrived in 2024, marking a 297% increase from pre-pandemic levels. The opening of Radisson Blu in Hoi An has further encouraged Indian tourism.

Vietnam Airlines launched its first nonstop flight between the US and Vietnam in 2021, connecting San Francisco to Ho Chi Minh City. In 2023, Vietnam extended its electronic visa to 90 days and expanded its visa-free list, including countries like France, Germany, Japan, and South Korea.

Luxury hotel brands like Ritz-Carlton, Park Hyatt, and JW Marriott are opening properties in Vietnam. The Michelin Guide’s expansion in 2024 has also boosted the country’s global culinary recognition.
