From November 12, 2024, all Vistara flights will start operating under the Air India brand. Flights that currently use the Vistara code “UK” will change to the Air India flight code “AI.” This also includes flights from Udaipur's Maharana Pratap Airport.
There will be no changes in the operation timings of these flights. Vistara currently operates eight flights from Udaipur—two flights to and from Mumbai, and one flight each for Delhi and Bangalore.
Passengers who have already booked tickets for November with Vistara need not worry, as their bookings will remain valid under the new Air India branding.
Singapore Airlines has taken a big step forward by merging with Air India, after getting approval from the Indian government. Previously, Singapore Airlines owned 49% of Vistara, but now, in the new combined Air India group, it will own 25.1%. This group will include Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara, with a total of 285 aircraft.
As part of the merger, Singapore Airlines is investing Rs 2,058.5 crore. This deal will help Air India become stronger globally.
