Bohra Youth Association with Dawoodi Bohra Jamat (community) of Udaipur will be organizing a 14th Mass Wedding (Samuhik Vivah) function on Thursday, September 16, 2010. This small but strong Bohra Muslim community of Udaipur now continues the legacy of March 16, 1975 which was the first Mass Wedding where more than 100 couples tied in bond of marriage.

This 14th mass event of Nikah (Islamic Wedding) at 4:00PM is going to take place at Wazihpura Mosque in Boharwadi followed by Baraat Procession and Community Dinner at Bhandari Darshak Mandap.

Nine couples are going to wed in the presence of thousands of community people, relatives and friends. Besides the celebration and joy moreover it also helps strengthening the community relations and encourages brotherhood.

Since few years such mass weddings have been organized in many Indian communities, it encourage social activities and it is a best way to make a grand royal wedding in relatively less expenses.

Bohra colony, popularly known as Boharwadi, is decorated lavishly with glowing lights, tomorrow the community will participate in wedding of nine lucky couples.
