Dinesh Muni, Regional Advisor at Sri Tarak Guru Jain Library, in his address said, “Acharya Ratnaprabh Suri, after giving religious sermons to Maharajah Upaldev and Mantri Uhadhdev along with 3,84,000 people founded the Oswal Dynasty in Osia City about 2538 years ago”.

There are presently 144 Oswal Gotras (clans) in India.

Dinesh Muni stated that various Oswal members have made remarkable contributions to administration, politics, religion, economics, science, education, art, culture and spirituality. He also added that based on their phenomenal talent, sacrifice and service, the name of Oswal caste is engraved in golden letters in the pages of history.

“The munificent Bhamashah was a Sthanakvasi Oswal, who dedicated all of his wealth in perilous times to Maharana Pratap,” he stated. According to Dinesh Muni, only the society in the spirit of love, affection and established traditions of charity can progress.
