Assistant Sub-Inspector at Ambamata Police station, Ramlal Gurjar and constable Premsingh were arrested by the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) team at Pune taking a bribe of Rs 50,000/-. The duo were arrested by the ACB team while taking bribe at Pune Railway Station.
Ramlal(56) and Premsingh(26) had gone to Pune in connection of a forgert case related to Bitcoins. The policemen met the accused in the bitcoin case and demanded Rs 3 Lakh in bribe. First instalment was to be paid at Pune Railway Station of Rs 50,000/-.
The accused in bitcoin case reported the bribe case to ACB. After confirming ACB laid a trap at Pune Railway Station and the policemen from Udaipur were nabbed red-handed taking Rs 50000 bribe.
It may be noted that Ramlal had in past also been trapped in a bribery case when he was posted at Surajpole Police Station. He was recently posted at Ambamata Police Station after being posted for a long time at Police Line.
