All-Brahmin Bachelors Meet on Parshuram Jayanti
The Sarv Brahmin Samaj Samiti organized an ‘Introduction Meet for Males and Females of All Brahmin Community’ today at the Fateh Senior Secondary School, Udaipur at 10 AM.
The third day of the 5 day celebration for Parshuram Jayanti, which is on 24th April, started with a rally (Shobhayatra), consisting of over 3,000 individuals, which began at Fateh School and crossed Surajpol, Asthal Mandir, Mukherjee Chowk, Teliyon Ki Mata Ji Area, Delhi Gate on its way back to Fateh School.

The introduction conference started with the traditional ritual of garlanding the Parshuram Idol and reciting of religious verses (Shloks) in a Mangalacharan by Pandit Dev Shankar Shastri. Many well-known figures including Girija Vyas; Bhanu Kumar Shastri, Former Minister, BJP; Laxmi Narayan Garg, Owner, Bharat Tankers and K.K Sharma, State President, Rajeev Gandhi Brigadier Sena were present at this introductory conference.
A total of 600 registrations were received from various places including Udaipur, Neemach, Indore, Ajmer and other cities of Gujarat and Maharashtra. It was noted that registration from Udaipur formed a small percentage of the total registration.
“The motive of this meet was to provide a common platform to all the Brahmin Community to be at the same place to introduce their children for marriage purposes,” said Madan Lal Sharma, Organizer of the event.
Mala Sukhwal and Bhupendra Vyas, Power Lifters along with 12 other individuals were honored for their performances in their fields of interest and for bringing glory to the community.
On 23rd April, there will be a ritualistic Deep-Daan and Ganga Aarti at Gangaur Ghat, Udaipur at 7 in the evening. On the last day, there will be a Rudrabhishek ritual at Mahakaaleshwar Temple at 9.30 AM.
