Alok Institute celebrates World Earth Day

With an initiative to save earth, World Earth Day which is on 22 April was celebrated at Alok Institution, Hiran Magri, Sec 11, Udaipur. In the event, two thousand students of school collectively promised to maintain greenery and plant trees in these two days celebration.

47th World Earth day celebration by Alok Institute aims to increase awareness among people to take steps towards saving environment and put a check on rapidly exhausting natural resources.

Today, in a special assembly presided over by Dr. Pradeep Kumawat, Director of Alok Institution, the students pledged to save water, spread greenery and plant tree to maintain healthy environment. The function was also graced by Shyam Lal Kumawat, Chairman and Shashank Tank, Vice-principal.

Alok Institute celebrates World Earth Day

On the occasion, Dr. Pradeep Kumawat congratulated every one and requested common people that at least for one day they should not use vehicle to save petrol and save earth.

“The ecological imbalance is a major reason for Tsunami, earthquakes, floods and volcanic eruption happening in various countries including India. To solve all such problems we have to plant trees in our locality, reduce pollution and re-cycle solid wastes,” said Dr.Pradeep Kumawat.

He added, “On the second day (22 April 2012) of this event, we will organizing Poster Making Competition, Mass Rally and Slogan Competition.”
