Today, on the eve of Jagannath Rath Yatra, group of devotees from Hare Krishna (ISCON) of Jaipur presented spiritual rhymes on the occasion of Bhajan Sandhya at Jagdish Mandir Chowk.

Three hundred volunteers of the Rath Yatra Committee, Udaipur assisted in the arrangements of this Bhajan Sandhya and also provided their contribution for the arrangements of Jagannath Rath Yatra.

Harish Rajani, member of the committee said that Dr. Gopal Das, President Hare Krishna Samiti, recited all the bhajans and over one thousand people attended the Bhajan Sandhya.

Sector-7 Prepares for Jagannath Rath Yatra

Jagannath Rath Yatra will start tomorrow at 11am from sector 7 moving to different parts of the city and finally amalgamate with Rath Yatra of Jagdish Chowk to make a mass colorful procession.

In the procession Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra ji, and Sudershan ji will travel round the city on a gold-plated Rath (carriage).

Girish Sharma, Secretary, Rath Nirman Samiti, Sector-7, said that areas from which the rath will pass will be purified by customary purification. In the procession women will wear kesariya (a shade of orange) clothes and men will be dressed in traditional outfits with kesariya paag.

During the procession, members of Utkal Samaj Mandal will start their dance from sector 7 onwards. Eleven decorated horses will be provided by Hakim Khan a prominent horse man of Udaipur and Shiv Singh Solanki of Janak Arts will do the Bhavya Arti and eco-friendly fireworks.

Prominent people of Mani Ben Patel Gujrati Samaj will welcome the yarta at Madri Tekri Link Road, in sector 4 and 5.

Bhajans will be recited by Krishi Mandi Labor Association throughout the procession and Mahadev Sena will do a weapon presentation.

Mahant Geet Nand Maharaj, Eklingpura Navyuvak Mandal, T.D Mitra Mandal, Dangi Community along with various other religious and social organizations in and around Udaipur will participate in the procession.
