Bohra Community gives Formal See-Off to Hajj Pilgrims
Hajj pilgrims of dawoodi bohra(youth) community Udaipur were given a formal see off today. 103 pilgrims will leave for Saudi Arabia next week for their journey to Mecca, located in western Saudi Arabia.

In the formal farewell held today at Wazeehpura mosque organized by Dawoodi Bohra Jamat (youth) today, pilgrims were greeted with garlands by members of the community followed by a farewell procession. They were also briefed about ‘do’s and don’ts’ during their visit.
According to Anis Miyaji Spokesperson, Dawoodi Bohra Jamat., these 103 hajjis are divided into number of groups, of which first group of 15 will leave on 10th October, second on 12th October and so on.
“On behalf of our community, we have requested all Hajjis to pray for peace and prosperity of the community and nation as a whole”, said Anees Miyaji.
As per Ishaq Hussain Pinara, Officer, Minority Affairs, number of pilgrims from the government quota also started leaving from Oct 1 onwards till Oct 20. A total of 125 individuals were permitted from Udaipur and around 5200 from across Rajasthan.
“Quota for hajj has been increased by 9 individuals this year. The total number of pilgrims across India will be around 1.75 lacs after increased sanction”, said Pinara.
