Dawoodi Bohra community marked the 317^th Urs of Saint Syedi Khanjipheer Saheb today on the first day of the Islamic month of Muharram. The day consisted of various religious and social activities, including adoring the divine soul by offering prayers and reciting Quran at the mausoleum of Khanjipheer.

Early today morning, hundreds of devotees were seen lined up to pay their tribute to Khanjipheer the 15^th century Saint who was also a known scholar of Islamic jurisprudence, philosophy and history of its time.

Khanjipheer died on 1695 AD, Hijri 2 Muharram 1117. As the month of Muharram starts, Bohras, one of the sects of Shia Muslims will indulge in commemorating the death of Imam Hussain and his followers who were martyred in Karbala, Iraq.
