Case of “Abetment of suicide”-Techno NJR College
Case against Techno NJR college has been registered for instigating suicidal thoughts.
A case of “Abetment of suicide” has been registered against Techno NJR College after student Bhavik Jain committed suicide. The college management has been accused of instigating suicidal thoughts in Bhavik.
Techno NJR College Director Raj Shekhar Vyas was attacked with a knife on Tuesday. Bhavik Jain, the student who attacked Director Vyas, committed suicide three hours after attacking RS Vyas. Family members of Bhavik Jain have registered a case of “Abetment of suicide” IPC Section 306 against College administration. As per them, college management is responsible for Bhavik’s mental condition which led him first towards attack and then eventually commit suicide.
The Director of techno NJR RS Vyas had registered a case against Bhavik on Tuesday. After the suicide, students of the college have given written complaints to police against college administration for acts of mental torture.
Investigating officer ASI Yashwant Singh said that the students have accused college administration but the accusations have not yet been taken on record. Bhavik’s body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem on Wednesday morning. When post-mortem was being done at 9 a.m on Wednesday, around 50 members of Jain community did a show down outside the mortuary. Action against college management was demanded. 15 students from the college were also present outside the mortuary.
It has been reported that mental torture was the main reason why Bhavik went into depression regarding his studies. As per the students, faculty members used to insult Bhavik Jain in the presence of other students as well. His backlog in 7 subjects was the point of insult all the time. Even Bhavik’s brother Divyank admitted to Bhavik’s depressive state of mind which was a result of mental torture by the college faculties every now and then.
The final rites were done by Bhavik’s father Mahendra Champawat in Falasiya.
