It is Good Friday on 30^th March. Prayer assemblies have already begun in churches. Good Friday is the Friday on which Christ’s Crucification is commemorated in churches. It is traditionally a day of fasting and peace.

It is believed that Christ was crucified on Good Friday and he rose again three days later. These 3 days are called as Easter Triduum. The term ‘good’ here means holy. Most of the Christians spend this day fasting, praying and repentance on Christ’s sufferings.

Secretary of Shepherd Memorial Church informed that prayer meetings will be held in two stages in the churches. Special prayer meetings are scheduled at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday 30^th March. Ajit Francis from Allahabad has come to Udaipur for this day. On Monday, he spoke to people about the life and teachings of Christ. “Seven words on the Cross” will also be mentioned during prayer meetings.
