District Collector and Chairman of UIT Rohit Gupta, in his review meeting with authorities on Tuesday, recommended a dual course of action wherein the robustness of road networks within the purview of the Urban Improvement Trust as well as availability of Potable Water in these areas, be given top priority vis a vis development.

Speaking at the meeting, Rohit Gupta announced road networks near South Extension Project (Dakshin Vistaar Yojna), RAC Headquarter at Debari, Madri Underpass and Swami Nagar Mali Colony.

It was also decided to implement spending 50% of the allocated funds for implementing the 35 City Bus project under the Smart City plan with immediately.

Gupta also instructed Secretary of UIT, Ram Niwas Mehta to ensure that current road development projects are completed within the scheduled time period as well as expressed his displeasure on the delay in implementing the approved work orders of 2014.  He asked Mehta to investigate the reasons for the delay and take necessary action.

UIT Land Accession Officer Pushpendra Singh Shekhawat, Superintendent Engineer of Water Department Anand Meena, Superintendent Engineer AVVNL KS Sisodiya and Satish Srimali were among other present at the meeting.
