Department of Forest announced a very thrilling and educating eco-visit to Sitamata sanctuary, including visit to Jakham Dam Overflow, on Sunday September 2, 2012. It will be a one day program and its objectives are –
- Exposure to Natural beauty & Eco system of Sitamata Sanctuary and picturesque serenity of overflowing Jakham Dam.
- Motivate people for Nature & environment conservation.
- Promote Eco tourism, nature education and sensitize general public.
Program details are as mentioned below – Departure: From Van Bhawan, Chetak Circle, Udaipur – 6.00 AM. Reach Arampura – 8.30 A.M. Visit to Interpretation center and Breakfast – 8.30 -10.00 A.M. Start for Jakham Dam – 10.00 A.M. Reach Jakham Dam – 11.30 A.M. Visit of Jakham water fall site and tea – 11.30 – 1.30 P.M. Departure :From Jakham Dam – 1.30 P.M. Reach to Eco trekking point – 2.30 P.M. Eco – trekking in Punga talav area – 2.30 P.M. – 4.00 P.M. Meal at Punga Talav – 4.00 P.M. – 5.00 P.M. Departure from Punga Talav – 5.00 P.M. Reach Arampura – 6.00 P.M. Sighting of Flying Squirrel & tea – 6.00 P.M. – 7.00 P.M. Departure for Udaipur – 7.00 P.M. Reach Udaipur – 9.00 P.M. Note: –
This trip is contributory. All the participants are requested to carry haversack, light snacks, fruits, packed juices, drinking water bottle and other necessary medicines, camera etc. The dress should be easy with trekking/walking shoes. Participants will have to strictly adhere to the schedule. The trip will be organized with a minimum booking of40 persons based on advance payment on first come first served
