Muslims observe Last Friday of Ramadan
The city mosques witnessed considerable gathering today as Muslims offered their last Friday prayers of the holy month of Ramadan. Friday namaz of Zuhr (Afternoon) is said to be one of the important prayer rituals and Ramadan adds more values to its occurrence as holiest day of the week is observed in the holiest month of the year.

Standing in a row and facing in one direction, hundreds and thousands of Muslim men offered Namaz after religious sermons by priests in all city mosques including Paltan Masjid, Hathipol, Alipura, Chaman pura Dholi bawdi etc.
Muslim community spent the entire night yesterday in prayers to mark the auspicious occasion of Laylat al-Qadr. Laylat al-Qadr is believed to be the night when the first verses of Holi Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
Meanwhile, Eid preparations have also started in Muslim pockets of Udaipur. Month of Ramadan has the entire Muslim community indulge in fasting, prayers and giving alms for the entire month. Completion of the month is celebrated as Eid-ul Fitr.
