Muslims offer First Friday Prayers of Ramadan
Muslims of Udaipur gathered in large numbers to offer their prayers on first Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan. Friday is considered to be the most important day in the week and Ramadan is the holiest month in Islam.
Muslims of Udaipur gathered in large numbers to offer their prayers on first Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan. Friday is considered to be the most important day in the week and Ramadan is the holiest month in Islam. A large gathering was witnessed in most of the city’s mosques during the offering of afternoon prayers.
Friday, also known as Jum’aa, has significant attributes stated in Ahadees – as words of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is believed that most important actions and events of world take place on Friday and all important events of Islamic history have also occurred on Friday.
Around 1000 people offered prayers at the Mosque located near Chetak Circle. Devotees prayed for all spiritual and worldly benefits, peace and harmony.
Before prayers, Khutba (sermons) was recited by Imam of Mosque.
