RUB work at Thokar-Akashwani road
Road Under Bridge work begins at Thokar.
Thokar-Akashwani route will stay closed for a period of 3 months due to RUB (Road Under Bridge) work. The road construction work commenced on Sunday which is likely to be completed in 3 months’ time.
A double-lane RUB work has been started by railways so that the railway crossing gates remain open throughout. After the RUB, there will be no traffic jams on this route. The funds for construction work are being taken care of by both railways and UIT. Since traffic will be entirely closed on Thokar-Akashwani road, diversion routes have been already been set.

For going to and fro Thokar-Akashwani route, public would now we rewuired to cross Sevasharam bridge. From here they need to take the road going to Sector 3 (Rishinagar road), cross the bridge ahead and move towards FCI gowdown. They can also take the road from Thokar to Sundervas, Glass factory, Khempura and move towards Akashwani colony. Heavy transport vehicles will be required to take Pratapnagar-Baleecha road.

They will save a lot of time in transit time and also save on fuel.
