As a motive to prepare kids for popular reality shows broadcast on National television channels, the cultural society “Matrix House of Entertainment” will be organizing a state-level dance competition.

The winners from both categories (Junior and Senior) be awarded Twenty One Thousand Rupees each and a trophy. Runner-ups will be granted Eleven Thousand Rupees as prize money. The competition has no entry fee.

The Director of Matrix House of Entertainment, Sumit Tiwari, told UdaipurTimes, “The auditions will be held in 15 districts in the state from 9^th July to 11^th August.” He added, “The 15 districts include Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Kota, Pali, Aburoad, Bikaner, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Bhilwara, Nathdwara, Dungarpur, Banswara and Chittorgarh”.

Tiwari said that the competition, in association with Vishaarad International, will be held in the Senior and Junior categories. Junior category will allow participants of ages 7 to 14 year old and those of age 15 to 25 years will be admitted in the senior category of the competition.

There will be two semi-finals in the contest, first one on 19^th & 20^th August in Jodhpur. The second semifinal is scheduled to be organized on 23^rd & 24^th August in Udaipur, judged by Odissi dancer Prerna Lohiri. Lakecity will host the grand finale of the show, to be judged by Geeta “Maa” Kapoor from ‘Dance India Dance’. Tiwari also mentioned that a 10-day workshop will be organized for the “Top 10” finalists in Udaipur.
