1 rupee note is likely to make a come-back in the market after a gap of two years. The design of the note will be similar to the ones that were circulated in 2015(see image). The colour will be predominantly pink green in combination with other colours (RBI reports). The utility is definitely in question since one rupee coins are already in circulation and are easy to handle. The point also in question is that printing of the note is more than the face value(almost 1.14 rupees per unit in 2015).

Jet staffer held with gold worth rupees 1.2 crore

A senior supervisor staff of Jet Airways was held at Mumbai holding gold worth 1.2 crore rupees. Nadeem Ansari, 29, was leaving the airport with five pouches having 4.05 kg of gold when he was intercepted by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. He has now been suspended. He was promised 75,000 rupees if he managed to sneak out with the gold. The identity of the passenger who smuggled the gold has not yet been revealed.

News about Sunny Leone’s plain nearly crashing has set the fans missing their heartbeats. Reportedly, the private plane carrying Leone, husband Daniel and her team nearly crashed in a remote area in Maharashtra. Sunny has posted videos of her and tweeted saying “we are alive”. She has thanked the pilot for maintaining his cool and saving everybody’s lives.

“Jaisalmer Green” to get rid of drought forever

Operation “Jaisalmer Green” is to commence from July this year to get rid of drought permanently. Recently appointed Collector KC Vishnoi has started preparations for the same. He said that he wants tourists to have a more pleasurable experience during their stay in Jaisalmer. Under the project, plantations will be done at Gadisar lake and Kuldhara which are the leading tourist spots of the city.
