Traditional Holi celebration at City Palace
With all its cultural significance, Holika Dahan was observed at City Palace compound on 7th March in the presence of Mewar’s Royal family, prominent guests and tourists. The customs of lighting the Holi pyre was performed by Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar.

A small procession ‘Noubat ri Avsari’ directed by Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar was lead by the Palace’s official band and ornamented horses attracted the guests and tourists who were present on the occasion. The procession started from Shambu Niwas and ended at Manek Chowk.
After reaching the Manek Chowk, the Palace’s private security personnel gave the Guard of Honor to Shreeji. On the occasion, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar and other relatives were also present.
Holika Ropan was done after following all religious and traditional norms.
