The hottest-hangout place of Udaipurites – Lake Fateh Sagar’s surrounding areas are emerging in a brand new look. The proposed construction of Vibhuti Park and an adjacent parking space opposite to the walkway known as Paal is close to its completing stage.

Vibhuti Park: New Arrival at Fateh Sagar

The construction of Vibhuti Park is almost near to get finished, a lush green park equipped with two big fountains is looking beautiful but slightly unusual, as it was hardly imagined by anybody around the city. Perhaps, it is going to change the face of Lake Fateh Sagar’s famous spot – paal in an expanded way.

On the other side, towards kala kivad, construction of retaining wall is in progress, this wall is being erected to prevent any mud slide.

Project of Vibhuti Park and Development of feeders and inlets at Fateh Sagar Lake is headed by Central Govt. of India and supervised by Urban Improvement Trust of Udaipur (UIT). The contract was given to other private companies.

The running project of developing Lake Fatehsagar’s area by constructing a park and parking space opposite to the “Paal” was prior came into objection by Lake Conservation Committee which was also published on UT.

This work is divided into many different phases and parts, there are many teams from various private construction companies who are working on it.

A question was raised by lake conservation members that digging the other side of fateh sagar might harm the lake and may cause danger to it as well as people residing down the area connecting to Moti Magri if lake water starts leaking.

Answering this, Tulsiram Sharma – support engineer from Tata tech India Ltd said – “No, you can see that we have dug up to 10 meters down from the top level of lake and there is no sign of water from anywhere”.

“Certainly, there is no link between this construction and lake. The level of wall is going to be equal to the road; this will make an empty space of 400x18ft. That can be used as a gallery or anything people and authority will decide, we welcome suggestions.”

“I am sure that this work of retaining wall will be completed by 15th April 2011″, said Tulsiram Sharma.

Tata Tech India Ltd is consultant, supervisor and developers of this particular site excluding Vibhuti Park.
