An infrequent date ‘11-11-2011’ has been seen once in a hundred years on calendar, is again set to leave its mark in world’s history.

Last time, when this date 11/11/1911 had come; many cities in the United States of America had recorded high temperatures in the early afternoon and record dropping temperature by night.

This was the only day that many cities in the Mid-West were able to break record highs and lows for the same day. The event is known as the Great Blue Norther.

The date is being considered lucky by many, as couples all over the world are planning to get into wedlock on this date. It is believed that number of wedding held on this day is greater than the number on other fortunate dates.

The date also has special significance for those who are born on 11^th November. In a rare coincidence, Betsy and Katie ( in photo above), twins from Wisconsin, US will be celebrating their 11^th Birthday tomorrow on 11.11.11

Some of the Bollywood celebrities who were born on 11^th November are Mala Sinha, Boney Kapoor, and Johnny Walker.

Bollywood’s legendry super star, Amitabh Bachchan is also hoping to become a grandfather on this day.

November 11 is also known as Veterans Day (formerly known as Armistice Day). This day is known for the end of World War-I. Many Canadian, Australian and Americans observe a 2 min silence at 11am on 11 November to honor the soldiers who fought for their country. Tomorrow 11^th November 2011 will be the 93^rd anniversary of this day.

11.11.11 is also marked as the 3rd World Day of interconnectedness.

The movie ‘11.11.11’ will be released on 11-11-11. The wife and kid of the main lead are killed and he keeps seeing number 11; suddenly realizing that 11.11.11 is not just a date, it’s a warning.

The reason the date is so unusual is that 11.11.11 is the only double figure palindrome date, since there is no 22^nd month.
