‘Dharmik Naitik Sanskar’, a 10-day workshop on teaching and inculcating moral values in kids and young students, organized by Devendra Dam Mahila Mandal, concluded today.

In her address to everyone who was a part of the workshop, Madhu Mehta, Chief Guest expressed her concern on the increasing affect of westernization and the deterioration of the traditional values in the younger generation.

She said, “A child’s mind is a like a piece of plain white paper and anything; good or bad can imprint it self on their character.” She added that, “Honest and righteous kids prove an asset to society and the country and make their parents proud”.

Mehta interacted with the kids who participated in the workshop and asked them to chose a career in life and be dedicated towards it.

Prakash Nagori, a poet and some other speakers, expressed their views on the last day of the workshop.

Sudha Bhandari, Chairperson, Mahila Mandal, said that this was the 9^th workshop they had organized on this subject and more than 1200 kids had participated in the earlier ones.

The participants gave various performances in the concluding program of the workshop today including some dances, qawwali and drama.

Bhandari also stated that the Devendra Mahila Mandal has also adopted 6 helpless and poor families and will be looking after their financial and living needs.

The 10-day workshop lead by Ranjana Mehta would start every morning at 6:15 and end at 1 in the afternoon. It was concluded today with a Vote of Thanks given by Mamta Ranka.
