Met department has alerted people of heavy rain in 15 districts of Rajasthan. These districts are Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Baran, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Jhalawad, Bundi, Kota, Karauli, Sawai Madhpour, Tonk and Sirohi.

Udaipur recorded 1 inch rainfall around 1 a.m. late Thursday night. Many cities experienced heavy rain as a result of which some of the water bodies started overflowing. Water falls were at their beauty. Eastern part of Rajasthan is under alert as there are all the probabilities of heavy rainfall. Public is requested to stay away from the lakes, rivers and ponds to avoid mishap.

Bnaswara recorded 96 mm of rain, Baran 79 mm, Dungarpur 71 mm, Dungarpur 140 mm, Pratapgarh 140 mm, Kapasan 62 mm and Alwar 30 mm.
