ALERT | Heavy Rains to continue in Udaipur – City of Lakes records 67% rain more than in 2018

With the rain Gods blessing Udaipur and adjoining areas with ample rain this year, the blessings do not seem to be exhausting. We might need another lake to take up the water, as the monsoon Alert has been sounded once again, this time for 13 districts including Udaipur. It is raining continuously since late morning hence the Met is spot on this time.
Met Department has earmarked 13 districts in Rajasthan that are likely to get heavy rain in the next 24 hours. With the low pressure emanating from the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains are likely to hit 13 districts of the state including Udaipur, Sirohi, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Jhalawar and Chittorgarh.
In the past 24 hours, Dungarpur experienced 6.5 inches of rainfall, Banswara had 3 inches and Sikar recorded 1.5 inches of rainfall. The areas of Nagaur, Bikaner, Kota and Sriganganagar also experienced heavy rainfall. Udaipur has had 67% more rainfall as compared to last year.
