Udaipur, January 13, 2025 - Due to the effect of a western disturbance, Udaipur recorded a drop in temperature yesterday, January 12. The maximum temperature slid from 25°C to 22.7°C marking a decrease of 2.3°C. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature fell from 11.4°C to 9.5°C.

The change in weather due to the effect of a western disturbance has increased the chill in the State. The cloud cover over the city dispersed yesterday leading to strong cold winds. The spell of rain that began in Rajasthan on January 11 continued in some regions yesterday, too, leading to a drop in daytime temperatures.

According to the Indian Meteorological Centre, another new western disturbance will hit Rajasthan during Makar Sankranti. As a result, rainfall and hailstorm are expected in Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer and Kota divisions on January 14 and 15.

For Udaipur, the weather department has forecast clear-to-partly-cloudy skies on January 14-15 and then early morning fog on January 16 followed by clear skies.
