Cold Intensifies in State; Yellow Alert for 11 Districts
Temperatures in cities such as Sikar, Jaipur and Nagaur have dropped by five to six degrees Celsius
Udaipur, Dec 27, 2025 – Cold has intensified across Rajasthan, including Udaipur, and temperature drop is felt especially during the morning and evening hours. In the city, the maximum temperature recorded in the past 24 hours was 23.9°C, which is 1.3 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature in the 24 hours was recorded at 7.0°C, which is 0.9 degrees below normal.
The impact of the cold wave is being felt most strongly in the Shekhawati region—Sikar, Churu, and Jhunjhunu—along with Nagaur, Alwar, Karauli, Dholpur and Bharatpur districts. Over the past two days, temperatures in cities such as Sikar, Jaipur and Nagaur have dropped by five to six degrees Celsius. A thin layer of ice was seen in several areas of Sikar and Alwar.
According to the weather centre, there is a possibility of intense cold and cold wave conditions over the next three to four days across Rajasthan. A Yellow alert has been issued for 11 districts in north-eastern parts of the State.
