Cold Wave Alert in 14 Rajasthan Districts
Cold wave alert issued for 14 districts over the next two days; minimum temperatures may fall by up to 5 degrees with severe cold conditions expected
Udaipur, Dec 26, 2025 - The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for Friday and Saturday (December 26-27) in 14 districts in Rajasthan. The areas to be impacted are Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Sikar, Bikaner, Churu, Didwana-Kuchaman and Nagaur. According to the IMD, minimum temperatures may drop by up to five degrees Celsius.
On Thursday (December 25), minimum temperatures fell by as much as seven degrees and seven cities across Rajasthan recorded night temperatures below 5oC.
Over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature in Udaipur was recorded at 25.3°C, which is 0.1 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 9.1°C which is above 1.2 degrees higher than normal.
