Mt Abu Records 0°C in November After 15 Years
Minimum temperatures below 10°C in 17 cities; cold wave Yellow alert for for Ajmer, Jhunjhunu, Kota, Sikar and Tonk
Udaipur, Nov 18, 2025 - A Yellow alert for cold wave was issued for Tuesday in Ajmer, Jhunjhunu, Kota, Sikar and Tonk by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). On Monday, temperatures in 17 Rajasthan cities dropped below 10°C marking it the coldest day of the season in the region.
Owing to persistent cold waves across the State, the minimum temperatures continue to drop. November is already breaking cold records. In Mount Abu, the temperature dropped to 0°C on Monday. It is for the first time in 15 years that the minimum temperature in November has reached 0°C. Normally, Mount Abu sees freezing minimum temperatures in December.
In Fatehpur, on Monday the temperature dropped to 4.9°C. Sikar was at 5.5°C, Nagaur 5.6°C and Lunkaransar 5.8°C.
In Udaipur city, the nights of Sunday-Monday were 4.5 degrees colder than the average for the second consecutive day. The minimum temperature remained at 8.5°C, while the day was 2.8 degrees colder than average. Despite a 0.9 degree rise in the maximum temperature over the past 24 hours, it did not exceed 27°C. The average minimum and maximum temperatures for November are 13°C and 29.8°C, respectively.
