Udaipur, May 8, 2025 – Owing to an active Western Disturbance for the past three days, Udaipur has been experiencing overcast skies and rainfall – sometimes light and other times heavy. Yesterday, till 4:30 pm, 28 mm (1.1 inches) of rain had fallen.
Apart from Udaipur city, rain occurred in many areas of the district including Jhadol, Kherwada, Nayagaon, Kanod, Bhinder and Kheroda.
In the last four days, owing to the moisture-laden winds coming in from the Arabian Sea, there has been intermittent rain in Mewar and Vagad with heavy and light thunderstorms.
There was only a 9.5-degree difference between daytime and night-time temperatures. Yesterday, May 7, the daytime temperature remained at 27.3°C, while the night-time temperature was 17.8°C.
The average temperature in May is around 40.2°C, but in the past three days, there has been a decrease of up to 12.9 degrees. Meanwhile, the night-time temperature increased by 0.5 degrees, rising from 17.3°C to 17.8°C on Wednesday. Its average level is 25.8°C, which is 8 degrees below that.
In the Dabok area near the city, daytime temperature increased by 1 degree to 30°C, and night-time temperature rose by 0.9 degrees to 20.4°C.
