April 28, 2026 - Different shades of the weather in Jaipur on Monday (April 27) had residents confused and concerned. Starting the day at a scorching 43.5°C, the weather settled down to 32°C by late evening because of strong dust storms which disrupted normal routine and also air traffic at Jaipur International Airport.

A flight arriving from Abu Dhabi was unable to land on the runway at Jaipur airport on the  first attempt because of the bad weather and had to circle in the sky at least eight times before finally landing.

According to airport management, the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi–Jaipur flight arrived at 7:35 pm, but was not immediately given permission to land because of the dust storm. The aircraft remained in a holding pattern in the air for about 45 minutes causing concern among passengers. However, after a slight improvement in weather conditions, the aircraft was given permission to land.

Winds blew at a speed of 40 km per hour, and then later increased to 65 km per hour, changing conditions completely. The first dust storm came around 6:30 pm, during which wind speed was 40 km per hour. The second storm arrived around 9:00 pm, when wind speed reached up to 65 km per hour.
