Fatehsagar touches 8.5 feet-City roads face water logging
Fatehsagar touched 8.5 feet by early Wednesday morning.
Udaipur city’s hot spot Fatehsaagar Lake touched the 8.5 feet mark this morning. The 4th phase of monsoon has proved to be really good for the city’s water bodies. In the past 24 hours, a good amount of rainfall has benefitted the water level of the lakes. Until Tuesday evening, the water level was at 8 feet in Fatehsaagar, but the latest news is that it touched 8.5 feet by Wednesday morning. This ultimately raises hopes that the lake will soon be at its overflowing beauty.
Fatehsaagar is getting water from both Swaroop Sagar and Madar link canal. Pichola has also crossed 8 feet. Until late Tuesday night, Madar was flowing at 3 feet and the water is overflowing at a good speed now. It may be noted that Devas (I) has played an important role in filling the lakes of Udaipur.

Though the rain showers are the most required part of the season, water logging in the city has become quite troublesome. The roads seem flooded with water as the all the drains and other water passages are clogged with garbage and filth. This is one big issue and administration needs to take urgent action in this direction. Public also needs to be aware that it is their duty, too, to keep the city clean else water logging incidents will never come to an end.
