February Heat beats 10 years old Record
The sun has started to ablaze in the middle of February raising the day temperature to 30 degree on 17th Feb breaking the 10 year old record. The last temperature recorded in 2006 was 30.1 degree on the 17th.

Usually, an unlikely sight in the second month, even the scientists are startled with the climatic change. On Tuesday, there has been an increase of 2.8 degree in max and 1.0 degree in min temperature.
According to the weather department, CTAE the temperature was 30.8 degree (max) and 11.4 degree (min) whereas, Dabok weather department reported 32.5 degree (max) and 13.8 degree (min).
Weather scientist Prof N.S Rathore said that due to western disturbances, increased heat is witnessed in Feb. The major reason of this could be the climatic changes. This year in the Indian Ocean, cloud formation is already being observed which may lead to rains in the eastern and western coasts.
The specialists have said that if this situation persists then the wheat and chickpea crop may face difficulty in their growth.
