The level of Lake Fateh Sagar touched the overflow mark today morning as the city received heavy to moderate downpour which continued till late evening.

If sources are to believed, the channel gate of Lake Fatehsagar are likely to open by midnight. But considering the incident of UIT bridge damage, the administration might not hurry in opening the overflow gate.

As per weather department, Dabok, Udaipur received 1.83 inch rainfall in last 24 hours and 0.14 inch in last 12 hours.

Heavy rain lashed the city in afternoon which resulted in water logging in residential areas and busy areas of Delhi Gate. The daily commuters, students and motorists faced problem in crossing flooded chouraha of Delhi Gate and adjoining roads.

Seeing the weather conditions, the gates of Swaroop Sagar which were closed yesterday, were reopened today morning.
