The gates of Swaroop Sagar lake were opened to clean up the water body. The department of irrigation carried out the action.

The gates were lifted around 4 inches today for about 15 minutes to clear up the water of Lake Swaroop Sagar before fresh water comes in with the rains.

Monsoon has already knocked the doors in the region. Though, not a lot of rainfall has been received yet, but the administration is taking no chances in preparing for the upcoming season.
