Temperature has gone soaring high once again. Heat waves disrupt life as the graph crosses 44 degrees. The “nautapa” as it is called took the temperature to 44.2 degrees on Friday forcing people to stay indoors. The heat waves are creating health issues and public is requested to stay indoors if possible and take care of health.

With a rise of 2.6 degrees, sun started burning the skin making it extremely difficult to stay outdoors. It is considered that a good monsoon follows “nautapa”. It is expected that for 3 more days the sun will be like fire burning down on life on earth. Hoping that this year Udaipur will get a good share of monsoons and the tag of City of Lakes will once again prove to be apt.

Public has started avoiding moving out. The crowd that is normally seen at Fatehsagar Lake in summer vacations has abandoned the lake side due to excessive heat. It has become almost impossible for the people on two-wheelers to drive as the heat waves are creating health issues. As per the met department, the sun is likely to move away from the earth by 3rd June which might bring relief from the soaring temperatures.

Drink plenty of water, do not over eat but do not stay empty stomach at all as it attracts sun stroke and the ill-effect of heat waves on body and mind. Make sure to hydrate yourself every now and then, eat heat fighting products like water melon, onions, and drink buttermilk and kairi paani as often as you can.
