Rajasthan Weather: Heavy Rainfall in Some Districts

Sawai Madhopur, Baran, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Alwar and Karauli saw more than 2 inches (50 mm) of rain

Udaipur, Sept 4, 2026 - During the past 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at some places in Alwar, Bharatpur, Deeg, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Sikar, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Karauli, Tonk, Baran, Kota and Jhalawar districts in the eastern parts of Rajasthan.

Heavy-to-very-heavy rainfall was recorded at isolated places. Sawai Madhopur, Baran, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Alwar, and Karauli saw more than 2 inches (50 mm) of rain. Uchhain in Bharatpur recorded the highest rainfall of 54 mm, while temperatures dropped to 6°C in several districts. Kota maximum temperature fell to 27.9°C, the lowest in the State.

Jaipur and surrounding areas are witnessing overcast skies, intermittent drizzle and light rain since morning.

The western parts of the State remained largely dry.

A rain alert has been issued for Kota, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions until September 7.
