Rain continued to cool the city on the second consecutive day today with moderate to heavy rainfall in various parts of the city.

Throughout the day, Sunshine was moderate and the clouds were making their presence felt.  However during the second half of the day, it rained moderately in various parts of the city.  However, the Airport road witnessed very heavy downpour for 20 minutes with near zero visibility.

According to the Meteorological Department, 17.6 mm rainfall was noted till 6 am today, while the last 24 hours witnessed approximately 41.3 mm rain.

The suburban areas witnessed light to moderate downpour throughout the afternoon.
