Cyclone Okhi, that started in Arabian sea, is reaching Gujarat coast and is expected to bring about changes in weather condition in Rajasthan as well. While the impact will be far severe in Gujarat and Maharashtra, regions of Rajasthan are also expected to see weather and wind changes.

This cyclone has been characterised as “severe” by the weather department. The cyclone had passed Lakshwadweep on Saturday and had resulted in wind speeds of upto 150kmph. The cyclone is now moving towards Gujarat coast after passing through Kerala and Maharashtra.

While all districts in Rajasthan are expected to see some impact, the impact of Okhi will be more pronounced in Banswara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Sirohi and Udaipur. The weather conditions are expected to be impacted over the next couple of days. High wind speeds may be expected along with cloudy weather.
