Link gate of Lake Swaroop Sagar was opened today evening to let the water flow into Lake Fatehsagar after continuous rain. According to the irrigation department, Udaipur witnessed 2.48 inch rain in past 24 hours.

Link gate of Lake Swaroop Sagar was opened today evening to let the water flow into Lake Fatehsagar after continuous rain. According to the irrigation department, Udaipur witnessed 2.48 inch rain in past 24 hours.

Water flow of Swaroop Sagar is nearly 4.5 feet. Due to Eid and weekend, a large number of people gathered near the lake today. Maximum rain was recorded in Nai with 3.54 inch precipitation.

By this, the water level of lakes has started rising. Lake Goverdhan Sagar was also reportedly overflowing this morning. As per the sources, the overflow measured to be around 6.5 inch.

Till now 457mm rain is recorded in Udaipur city. According to forecast websites, more rain is expected in next 48 hours.
