Meteorological websites expects thunderstorm and rain for entire week, however precipitation chances decreases in coming days.

Heavy clouds covered the city today as rain continues to pour since Monday evening. Although not constant but drizzling was reported in usual gaps. Countryside areas also received rainfall in last 24 hours.

Due to water coming in from Pichola, Swaroop Sagar Lake already reached its peak level. Madar Lake is also set to overflow; Lake Fateh Sagar touches 11 feet mark.

According to local weather department, the city witnessed nearly 1 inch rainfall on Monday.

Due to rain, almost every road of the city is suffering from potholes, road breakage and water logging causing trouble for both walkers and motorists. Tree falling is another common issue along with power cut.

Unlike last year, when Lake fateh sagar overflowed on 12th Sept, this time, citizens have to wait a little longer to see the enthralling overflow.

Seeing the rainy day, people already flocked towards lakes and countryside to see the nature’s beauty. Kathar, Ubeshwar, Nandeshwar, Badi and Udai Sagar are some most nearby and favorable picnic spots.
