Weak western disturbance may lead to drizzle in north and north-west
Udaipur, October 7, 2024 – The monsoon has bid farewell to the State but a weak western disturbance, yesterday, October 2, 2024, led to light showers in some districts with Bayana, Bharatpur recording the most rainfall at 17 mm.
Yesterday, temperatures recorded in most places in Rajasthan were between 34-38 degrees Celsius. Dholpur recorded the highest temperature at 38.5°C while Ganganagar was at 38.3°C and Fatehpur at 38.0°C.
After the monsoon withdrawal, rainfall has begun in the state. On Sunday, due to the impact of a western disturbance, several districts experienced light rain. The highest rainfall was recorded in Bayana, Bharatpur, at 17 millimeters.
According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, a weak western disturbance is likely to cause light rain and drizzle in some parts of north-western and northern Rajasthan on October 8 and 9. In most other areas, the weather is expected to remain dry.
