Mercury Dips in Udaipur; Two-Week Cold Forecast

Cold conditions have intensified again across Rajasthan as Western Disturbance impact ends; fog and rain forecast ahead

Udaipur, Jan 29, 2026 - As the impact of the Western Disturbance has ended, cold conditions have once again intensified in the State. A significant drop has been recorded in both day and night temperatures across the region. While the maximum daytime temperature has fallen by up to seven degrees, the minimum night temperature has dropped by six degrees.

According to weather experts, this cold condition is likely to persist for the next two weeks in Udaipur and across Rajasthan. Dense fog is likely to be observed at some places during morning hours on January 29 and 30. Owing to the influence of a new Western Disturbance, light rainfall accompanied by thunder is expected at some places in the State on January 31 and February 1.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature recorded in Udaipur was at 22.7°C, down 3.1 degrees from average, while the minimum temperature was at 8°C, down 0.6 degrees from normal.

The lowest night temperature was recorded in Pali at 2.4°C. In the past 24 hours, Pali witnessed a drop of nearly six degrees in night temperature. Meanwhile, Kota recorded a decline of up to seven degrees in daytime temperature.
