Weather Update: Mixed Rainfall Forecast for August
Udaipur, Aug 2, 2025 - Till August 1, Udaipur district has received 372.18 mm of rainfall, which is 15.74% higher than the average of 321.56 mm for this period. August is expected to be mixed in terms of rainfall. Heavy rains are likely in the first and last weeks. Overall, rainfall is expected to be normal for the month, with an average of 205.4 mm.
According to the weather office, the average maximum temperature in August is 30.5°C and the minimum is 23.7°C. If the weather remains clear, day temperatures may rise slightly while night-time temperatures may drop marginally.
Yesterday, some areas experienced light showers during the day including Raghunathpura, Pratap Nagar and Purohito Ki Madri. The day remained cooler than usual, but the night was warmer. The maximum temperature rose by 0.9°C to reach 29.5°C, while the minimum dropped by 0.4°C to 24.4°C. A day earlier, the temperatures were 28.6°C and 24.8°C, respectively.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued rainfall activity in the next 5–6 days in the northern and north-eastern parts of Rajasthan as a result of the monsoon trough line shifting north of its normal position. From August 3, Bharatpur and Jaipur divisions may see heavy rainfall with an alert being issued for extremely heavy rainfall in Bharatpur division and nearby districts on August 4.
