Rajasthan Weather Alert: Moderate to Heavy Rain Forecast

Udaipur, Oct 27, 2025 - On Sunday, October 26, the impact of a Western Disturbance was observed across the State. Another low-pressure system has formed over the east-central Arabian Sea, while a new Western Disturbance became active over northwestern India. In view of this, the possibility of rain and a drop in temperature has been forecast till tomorrow, October 28.

Moderate-to-heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in the southern and eastern parts of Rajasthan over the next three days. The system’s maximum impact is expected on October 27 and 28. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for moderate-to-heavy and very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder in parts of the Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions over the next two days. Light to moderate rainfall activity is also likely to continue in southern parts on October 29 and 30.

Owing to the effect of two separate low-pressure systems and cyclonic storms over the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, heavy rainfall has returned to coastal and central Indian States since October 26. Several States have been warned of more heavy rain over the next two days.

Owing to the change in weather patterns, a drop in temperature was already observed on October 26 in Udaipur. The maximum temperature was recorded at 29°C and the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.8°C. Earlier, on October 25, the maximum temperature was 31.1°C and the minimum 19°C, indicating a drop of 2°C during the day and 0.2°C at night.
