Monsoon Revival in Udaipur? Heavy Rain Likely August 15–17

Udaipur, Aug 14, 2025 - After nearly three weeks of dry spell, Udaipur saw some rain again early this morning. At around 1:30 am light rain fell in some part of the city, including Savina, Geetanjali area and Eklingpura. It remained overcast for most part of the day yesterday, August 13. In Pratap Nagar and nearby areas, power outages occurred late at night.

Heavy rainfall is expected from Friday, August 15, onwards. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain-bearing winds are expected to arrive from the Bay of Bengal which may lead to heavy rainfall in some places of eastern Rajasthan’s Kota and Udaipur divisions between August 15 and 17.

In the past 24 hours, the daytime temperature dropped by 0.4°C, settling at 31.8°C. The minimum temperature also came down by 0.8°C and was recorded at 24.4°C. The average maximum temperature for this month is set at 30.5°C and the minimum at 23.7°C.
