Overcast Skies Impact Udaipur Weather Shift
Udaipur experiences fluctuating weather with clouds, winds and rising night temperatures as a Western Disturbance affects parts of Rajasthan, according to IMD
Udaipur, Feb 18, 2026 - The city is witnessing sudden fluctuations in temperatures leading to cool breeze in the morning and cloud cover through the day. This change in weather is also negatively impacting the health of residents.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has attributed the weather changes to the impact of a Western Disturbance and local wind system variations affecting southern parts of Rajasthan. The overcast conditions are likely to continue for the next one to two days.
Udaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 31°C on Tuesday (February 17), while the minimum was 15.1°C. A day earlier, the maximum temperature was 31.1°C, but the minimum temperature was lower at 12.3°C. This indicates a rise of about 2.8°C in the night temperature.
Across the State, the active Western Disturbance brought cloudy and windy conditions on Tuesday with rainfall being reported post noon in several districts including Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur and Udaipur divisions. The impact of the disturbance is expected to be the strongest on Wednesday in Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota divisions and Shekhawati region.
Most cities saw a rise in both day and night temperatures. According to the IMD, 17 cities recorded daytime maximum temperatures above 30°C. The minimum temperature in some places rose by up to 7°C.
