The series of heavy rains continued today also as city witnessed downpour from morning till afternoon.

Started as drizzling in the morning, it started raining heavily in the early afternoon, with bombastic thunderstorms. Heavy rains continued for around two hours and continued drizzling till the evening.

As per Irrigation Department, 6 mm rainfall was recorded till 8 AM. The water bodies in and around city continued getting input from various sources. FatehSagar touched the mark of 11.41 ft, Pichola reached upto 10.89 ft and Badi Lake reached 17 ft. mark.

Bada Madar and Chota Madar were recorded to be running at 23 ft and 20 ft respectively. Udai Sagar touched the mark of 22 ft.

With couple of mishaps and rescue missions recorded in the past days, administration has declared high alert as more rainfall is expected in coming days. A team of National Disaster response force has also reached city to help the administration.
