With the monsoon expected to arrive a bit early this season, pre monsoon rain has started rinsing Udaipur. Mild to moderate showers were experienced in major parts of the city today afternoon.

The day started off with humid atmosphere and a cloudy sky. The city by afternoon had a thick layer of dark clouds looming over it. These dark clouds then gave way and rinsed most parts of the city. Precipitation was also reported past midnight yesterday and a series of showers continued in several parts till morning.

According to meteorological websites, more rain showers are expected in coming days with possibilities of thunderstorm.

Monsoon is expected a week earlier in northern India. This means that we can expect the monsoonal rains to hit the city by end of June.
