Udaipur experienced its first burst of Pre-monsoon rains today afternoon. Dark clouds started forming from early afternoon and finally the rain gods smiled 3:15pm onward.

Heavy rains lasted for about half an hour and was followed by mild drizzle for another 15-20 mins. The rain was accompanied by strong winds and caught the people on street completely off-guard.

The rainfall brought much needed relief with temperatures hovering around and above the 40 degree Celsius mark for quite few days.

Electricity was also disturbed in portions of the city due to rains. Huge temporary water logging could also be seen on the roads.
